A representative for Metallica’s management company, QPrime, has denied online reports that the band’s new album, “Death Magnetic”, will be released several days early in some parts of Europe.
The web site of the French retailer FNAC had listed a release date of September 9 for “Death Magnetic” — three days earlier than the previously announced September 12 “worldwide” release date. However, the QPrime spokesperson has told Blabbermouth.net that this was a “mistake” and the Fnac web site has since been updated with the correct information. Several copies of “Death Magnetic” were sold early at a Paris record store on Tuesday (September 2), which led to the entire album being leaked online within hours. source
