We’ve had a sneak peak at the ‘Death Magnetic’ packaging.

Metal Hammer can exclusively reveal all about the digi-pack version of Metallica’s ‘Death Magnetic’ album.

Firstly, the coffin that adorns the front of is concentric (meaning it has a coffin-shaped hole in the centre of the booklet that gets smaller as you turn each page). The images on each page in chronological order are: a car wreckage, an eyeball, a baby scan, a man in bed screaming, the cover of The Day That Never Comes single, a streeat photo taken from on top of a building, people on a beach sunbathing, a cow’s carcass, a steel pipe and fans at a concert, followed by a pic of the band standing on the street.
