One of the founders of Red Octane, the video game company responsible for Guitar Hero, says reports linking Beatles and Metallica to special editions of the game are untrue.

Charles Huang said the company was “not ready to comment” on the rumours that Metallica had joined the successful franchise, which recently saw the launch of a special Aerosmith edition.

It had been claimed that songs by the rock band, who release their new album in September, would appear on a future version of the game, due for release next year.

Speaking to Billboard, Mr Huang added that the company would “love to work with all of the top rock bands of all time, whether it’s Aerosmith or Metallica or AC/DC or Led Zeppelin,”

“If we get an opportunity to work with those bands, we would love to do that.” source
