I can understand the the two differing views on the pre/post Black album debate - I'm pretty much in the pre Black album camp myself but I can also appreciate that the band have striven not to repeat themselves and I think they deserve credit for that. However, and this is for all those Pre Blackers out there like myself..... imagine a new album like ..And Justice...... (hold that thought)...... with BASS ON IT!!!!!!!!! That would really rock. In fact, I think that would slay me totally!!!!!! Can't wait.... Metallica died!! They sold out....some of the Load and Reload was ok...but a lot of of it was just that- a Load of shit!!! U can take probably some of the songs from each album and the Black album and make and maybe make 1 good album.....getting older and wiser is fine. We all do(at least some of us get wiser..) but you dont have to become a sell out,weaker or wimpier...(is that a word?LOL). Sorry I like Andreas Segovia, Bach, etc...Public Enemy..etc..different stuff. But they all have their own unique sound. Metallica had it and dropped it to be corporate but monkeys. They got lazy and weak.....4 good albums is all they made-the first four(well the Garage ep was good too!)...St Anger was actually a step into the right direction. Hopefully theyll finish taking that step. Metallica was actually probably on top of the game over Megadeth back in the day....Dave surpassed them at some point.....He unwittingly sucumbed to corporate bs too but found his soul again.
