Metallica MySpace Page Matches MissionMetallica.com

Thanks to reader FadedLineVigil who pointed out the MySpace Metallica page is now using the same background and styling as the MissionMetallica.com webpage. I guess this confirms that Metallica are behind the site and things are ramping up for May 12th. I wonder what the first bit of info on the site will be. Maybe a live performance of a song from the new album?

I’m guessing it will be the album name, release date and maybe snippet or intro to a new song. I seriously doubt they will release an entire new song…yet. Also, to play into the “mission” aspect, it might be the start of some kind of guerilla marketing online campaign similar to what NIN did with Year Zero. Regardless of what it is…I’m excited.

Even tho since the black album metallica have been off their normal best as in, knowing what direction to head in and what to do next, i think they might actually be on track again, *metallica* have been away way too long, the shell has been around since and justice, really hope this new album brings them back to their best, and shuts everyone up that thinks metallica are has been’s.
